Beverly May Harker, 87, went home to the Lord on May 12, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Beverly was born December 4, 1929, in Des Moines to Cleo and Leona Smith. She graduated from East High School in 1948. Beverly then married Harold Harker on June 25, 1948. She was an excellent seamstress and loved...

Beverly May Harker, 87, went home to the Lord on May 12, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Beverly was born December 4, 1929, in Des Moines to Cleo and Leona Smith. She graduated from East High School in 1948. Beverly then married Harold Harker on June 25, 1948. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to sew. During her lifetime she made over 1,000 dresses for various missions, and hundreds of surgical caps for children going to surgery at Mercy hospital. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and singing in the church choir.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Harold Jr. (Donna), David (Betsy), and Vicki (Dean) Fisher; sister, Betty Boustead of Finley, WA, seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, and many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Gary Harker, and great granddaughter Victoria Harker.
